A Quiet Season

I have been quiet. Quiet on social. Quiet on my blog. Just. Quiet.

The truth is - I’m going through a season of growth right now. During this quiet season, I’m discerning how I want to show up in the world. It’s different than it was before. And that’s ok. In fact, it’s MORE than ok. It’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.

We all go through phases. Phases of expansion. Phases of contraction. And just like our muscles, you cannot have one without the other. For if either did not happen or if either was constantly happening, we would literally be stagnant.

Stagnant. Just typing out that word makes my face cringe. I know what stagnant feels like. And clearly, so does my face. So even though these phases of expansion and contraction typically encompass all of the feelings, I’d so much rather be emotional than stagnant.

Emotions = Energy in Motion.

That’s all it is. Our emotions are our soul’s way of communicating with us. Emotions are neither right nor wrong. Neither good nor bad. Emotions just ARE. There’s never a right or wrong way to feel. There’s never a good or bad way to feel. Awareness is the key. Our bodies tend to communicate with us before our minds even know what is happening. But do we recognize this for what it is? Energy. In. Motion.

My coach recently challenged me with these three simple questions.

  1. What do you want to accomplish?

  2. Why is it important?

  3. How much does it cost?

I answered them from the gut. What I mean is that I didn’t think about them. I just wrote what first came to mind. Rapid-fire style. I've found that's how my truth tends to emerge.

What do you want to accomplish?

I want to change the world.

How does one accomplish such a large task?

One conversation. One energy exchange at a time. By using the true and authentic gifts that God gave me to inspire and empower others.

Why is it important?

Because happiness is important. Happiness is the meaning of life. Google it.

How much will it cost?

It doesn’t cost money, it costs time. Time is money. Money is energy. And so am I.

In what way do I create more time? Full-time daycare and an actual computer vs. a Chromebook.

God establishes a relationship with you to make you happy. Anything that you do that does not serve his purpose is not real. ~ Marrianne Williamson

So what does this mean? This means that it is our mother-effing purpose to be happy. And anything that does not make us happy is not serving him.

What season are you in?

What emotions are coming up?

Can you identify them without judging them?

What do you want to accomplish?

Why is it important?

How much does it cost?

I know in my heart that there is someone who feels this message was written just for them! And when that person is ready for the next step, ready to be challenged and take action, he or she will share their thoughts with me and we will work together to create their most authentic future.
